The Core Concept

Think: WHO RECEIVES?

The Dative answers "To whom?" or "For whom?" after a verb:

  • Dám knihu bratrovi. (I give the book to my brother.)
  • Řekni to mamince. (Tell it to mom.)
  • Pomáhám kamarádce. (I help my friend.)
  • Věřím tobě. (I believe you.)
