Demonstrative Pronouns (Ukazovacà zájmena)
The most common demonstrative is ten, ta, to (this/that). It is often used like a definite article ("the") in colloquial Czech.

This vs. That​
To distinguish between "this here" and "that there", add suffixes or separate words:
- Tento / Tady ten = This (here)
- Tamten / Tamhleten = That (over there)
