Consonant Changes (Palatalization)

When adding Locative endings, certain consonants change before the soft vowels and -e. This is called palatalization (měkčení).

Why Does This Happen?

Czech historically shifted certain consonants when followed by front vowels. These changes are automatic and required - you can't avoid them!

The Main Changes
